My name is Matthew Coetsee, I am the owner, brand strategist and photographer of MacZone Photography in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
I studied at the Jonathan Andrews School of Photography In 2012 and since my passion has grown. My goal for not only myself but for MacZone Photography is to capture those perfect moments in life that one can cherish forever, as well as give our clients the best experience we can offer.

FAQ
ARE CONSULTATIONS ONLY AT THE BUSINESS LOCATION?
No, consultations can either be at the business location or if arranged otherwise can be at any place, depending how far the location is, travel costs may be invloved.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOGRAPHS?
On average it may take 2 - 3 weeks depending on the event and number of photographs.
DO YOU ONLY DO PHOTOGRAPHS OR ARE THERE OTHER SERVICES OFFERED?
Yes, we do also offer Photo Books, Canvas prints as well as Favour items for example: thank you cards.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF A WEDDING DAY, AND TIME OF YEAR TO SHOOT?
My favourite parts of any wedding is the exchanging of rings, the pronunciation of
husband and wife, the “you may kiss the bride” and the first dance.
WHAT EXACTLY IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PACKAGES?
- Photographer with all needed equipment for the event
- Co-ordernation with other suppliers to make sure that everything is captured perfectly
- All editing hours
- All photos of your special day on a disc.
WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS FOR SHARING PHOTOS ONLINE OR FOR PUBLICATION? DO YOU OWN THE COPYRIGHT TO THE PHOTOS?
If it is online and it is not for advertising then there are no restrictions however if it goes for publication then you will need permission from us and a credit needs to be placed in the publication.
CAN I CUSTOMIZE A PACKAGE BASED ON MY NEEDS?
Customization of packages can be catered for depending on your specific needs.
DO YOU SHOOT IN COLOR AND BLACK & WHITE? INFRARED?
All shoots are done in colour and then edited after the shoot to see if black & white or
infrared works best, clients will receive the original of every edited photo.
WILL YOU FOLLOW A SHOT LIST? OR DO YOU PREFER TO HAVE FREE REIGN TO CAPTURE THE FESTIVITIES HOW
YOU SEE FIT?
Free reign to capture the festivities is preferred but if there are any specific shots that
you require, we will cater to them.
WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS FOR SHARING PHOTOS ONLINE OR FOR PUBLICATION? DO YOU OWN THE
COPYRIGHT TO THE PHOTOS?
There are no restrictions for sharing photos online, if any photos are used for
publication then a credit must be put in.
DO YOU BRING YOUR OWN LIGHTING?
Our own lighting is provided in the form of portable flashes and light stand.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE (E.G. TRADITIONAL, PHOTO-JOURNALISTIC, CREATIVE)
I would best describe my style as traditional with creative aspects without
compromising the event.
